Committee Meeting Participants

Each WSTS Member Company has one official representative in the Committee, who is expected to participate in the Committee Meeting (Business Meeting) and to assume his/her voting rights in the Business Meeting on Tuesday morning. Any other employee of a WSTS Member Company is invited to participate in all parts of the Committee Meeting (Business Meeting and Forecast Meeting). Participation in the Forecast Meeting is subject to the submission of a premeeting forecast.
Furthermore the representatives of the sponsoring Semiconductor Industry Associations are invited to participate as observers. During your registration you will be required to declare in which role you will attend the meeting.
Certain detailed information such as the agenda, the list of participants etc. is only accessible to holders of WSTS user accounts and/or to registered participants. If you have registered but do not have a WSTS user account, you may login to this meeting web site (right upper corner) with your registration ID as user name and your last name as password.

Any non-member semiconductor company who has serious interest to join WSTS may send a participant to the Committee Meeting as observer. Such request is to be made to the WSTS Administrator.

Participation Fee and Hotel Cost

Participation Fee

The applicable rates are summarized in the table below.

Please observe the following deadlines:
01 September 2013 start of registration period.
17 September 2013 last day to benefit from discounted participation fee.
12 October 2013 last day to benefit from standard participation fee.
02 November 2013 last day for meeting registration or change of registration.
Participants who booked at the discounted participation fee (before or on 17 September), but who change any details of their registration after 17 September will have to pay the regular participation fee. Minor changes (change of room type, addition of supplementary information) will however not cause a reassessment of the participation fee.

In case of cancellation of the registration in whole or in part WSTS will retain US$100 per day or US$400 for the entire meeting.

Participation fees include a daily buffet lunch, a morning and afternoon break with coffee, tea and other refreshments as well as a dinner on Tuesday and Thursday. All dinners are also available to accompanying spouses free of charge.

Hotel Cost

All room rates quoted below are inclusive of a 10% service charge and a 5% VAT. 

The special rate is available three days pre and three days post the meeting based upon availability. WiFi Internet access is available on a complimentary basis in the meeting facilities and guest rooms. For cancellations received less than 24h prior to the day of arrival the hotel is entitled to charge one room night.

Travel and Transfer

Important: If your home country is not listed in countries eligible for VISA-exempt entry you will need a VISA to visit Taiwan. Please refer to your local authorities

Most participants from abroad will travel by air and arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Transfer to the hotel will take approx. 45 to 90 minutes depending on traffic and type of ground transportation.
Some participants may arrive at Taipei Song Shan Airport. Transfer from this airport to the hotel by Taxi will take about 15 minutes.

The distance from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to the hotel is about 45 km. For ground transportation there are several options:

1. By bus: NT$ 125. Travel time 70 to 90 minutes depending on traffic. Departure: Terminal 1 Bus platform on the southwest side of passenger arrival reception area and Terminal 2 Bus platform on the northeast side of passenger arrival reception area. Ticket counters are located in the arrival passenger reception areas at both terminals.
2. By Taxi to Grand Formosa Regent Hotel approx. 45 minutes. Taxi ranks are outside the arrival halls of both terminals. Airport taxis charge according to the meter in addition a 50% surcharge. Highway tolls are not included. A typical taxi fare to Taipei is approx. NT$ 1,300.
3. By Hotel pick up service: airport transfers by private limousine are available at the following rates:

• Mercedes 350: NT$ 2,600 net per car per way (3 persons max.)
• 9-seater-mini coach: NT$ 3,500 net per car per way (7 persons max.)
• 20-seater-mini coach:NT$ 5,000 net per car per way (18 persons max.)
